What is the best way to make a huge difference in the world? Of course, it’s to give to those charities who are making a big difference in the world.
I recently had the opportunity to donate a $1,500 Gift Certificate for one of my Uniquely Different Family Portraits to Children at Risk. A great organization that “serves as a catalyst for change to improve the quality of life for children through strategic research, public policy analysis, education, collaboration, and advocacy.”
Our silent auction donation featured the NBA Champion, Tyson Chandler and his family, and was a big hit with the Children at Risk donors. Using our Win-Win-Win silent auction strategy, a lot of money was donated to a great charity, while the winning bidder will receive an amazing family portrait and I get a new client.
This years charity theme was a Masquerade Party, which set the tone for a super fun and entertaining event.
While the focus of the entire event was on Children at Risk and generating large donations, a lot of booze was consumed, making laughs were shared, and good friendships were made.
A big thanks to Children at Risk for including Photillustrator and our crazy family portraits in their silent auction this year, and I look forward to working with the amazing winning family of our Uniquely Different Portrait.
