The Photillustrator Photo Session

Finally, the time you’ve been waiting so patiently for has finally come, and it’s time to take some pictures and portraits at the Photillustrator Photo Session.

This page is to answer some of the most common questions I’ve received regarding The Photillustrator Photo Session.

Of course, if you have any questions not answered on this page, please don’t hesitate to email me at jason @ photillustrator.com, and I’ll get that answered for you.

Moving forward…

What will we be doing at the Photo Session?

Like everything you’ve experienced so far, every Photo Session is a little different and unique to your custom Family Portrait.

Here’s a quick list to give you an idea:

  1. Each person will be photographed individually, or in pairs.
  2. Each pet will be photographed individually.
  3. I will photograph locations around your home if necessary.
  4. I will be photographing individual items and details.

For the sake of freshness and attention spans, I like to work fast and furious through the Photo Session.

How long will the Photo Session take?

I have found the Photo Sessions that work the best are between 1 to 2 hours maximum.

To get the best images possible, it’s important to photograph pets and children first, before they tire out.

I’m worried about my dog not sitting still, what can I do?

Pet Portraits can sometimes be a challenge to photograph, but I’ve not met a dog or cat yet that wouldn’t work with me.

If you have a really hyper dog, and your Family Portrait calls for him to be calm, it would be best for you to allow your pet to run off some steam.

That said, don’t stress too much about your pet, I’m sure they will do great.

What if it rains the day our Photo Session is scheduled?

I refuse to compromise quality over schedules, so if it rains the day we have our Photo Session scheduled, we’ll simply reschedule it.

The better your photos, the better your Photillustration will turn out.

Will I get to pick the photos to be used in my Family Portrait?

During the Photo Session, I will frequently show you some of the images I’m capturing so you have an idea of what we’re working towards.

However, I ultimately will choose the best images for your Family Portrait.

What if I don’t look good in Photos?

While this may be an issue for traditional portraits, this is not an issue at all for your Photillustration.

In fact, I frequently tell clients the bigger your expressions, the better your final Photillustration will turn out.

Have More Questions?

While these are some of the most common questions I’ve received regarding my Photo Sessions, you may have additional questions I’ve not yet answered.

Simply shoot me an email at jason @ photillustrator.com, and I’d be happy to answer your question.
